Primairy chain adjuster... Failure!

The bike after the 6-V wekend. Ready for the summer...

Until my primairy chain adjuster started to fail...

Leaving quite big marks inside the engine

Starting to clean & Flush the engine

The broken primairy chain adjuster...
The primairy chain adjuster lasted about 2.5 years...
Last check i did on the chain was in 2014
And i have an average of 2500 - 3000km a year with the bantam.

Oil & Carb

I cleaned the carburator and changed the floating angle. So it won't leak fuel anymore.
Added fresh oil to the gearbox/clutch and it's allmost ready. Now waiting for parts to arrive from the UK (rexcauntracing.com/)

Fresh oil!

I still love these old advertising!

Improving the engine -> Primary chain tensioner

After the last service i placed a new primary chain. It was better... but still not what is was hoping for.
So thanks to Peter Savage and his very well made Primary chain tensioner. It's all solved!
She runs like a charm! It's a really great improvement!

Testdrive

The bantam is ready for a winter snow drive this saturday & sunday!

woensdag 18 januari 2012

Close the gab!

Position the 4 speed gear selector.

If you tightn it up it will not jam!

NEVER EVER put to mutch liquid seal on!
And alway's on this side.

So there is no contact with the liquid seal to the engine itself!
