These are the rules for Racing your Bantam.

Bantams are raced as a subsection of the Vintage Motorcycle Club racing section currently there are about 20 racing, tracks raced at Mallory, Lydden, Cadwell, Snetterton, Darley Moor, Anglesey, pasted in below are last years rules some very minor wording changes have been made to these for 2002, they are still good enough to use to build one.

I have a tuning manual that I print to order so it has all current changes I am in the process of trying to make it web based.

Granny's love bantam's to!

"I believe the story attached to this photo (I apologize for the poor contrast and non-motorcycle focus) is that my grandmother, who is now in her nineties, was late for church and hence caught a ride on the back of my dad's bike." Andrew H.

Vintage Airbox Speed Hole's

Looks like the previous owner has made some *kuch* Performance air hole's */kuch*.
To add some additional air in the carburator! Or he was just to lazy to clean / replace the airfilter.
Anyone a idea where to find these airfilters?

Racing!

I found a great read about the Clement Sorrel Daniels (link) Racing Bantam!.pdf (811 KB)!
I love the part of the magneto system "By mounting a BTH chain driven racing magneto at the front of the cylinder, to replace the normal flywheel magneto." ... "And runs at half engine speed. This allows the engine to rev to 0-10.000 rpm without mechanically exploding the magneto"

What is A BSA BANTAM?

"The BSA Bantam is a phenomenon, in numerical terms, it's the most successful Britisch bike ever build, and over 30 years after the last one left the production line, thousands are still on the road"
The BSA Bantam Bible

I think it's simply one of the best looking bike's out there!
